How does a fill your freezer day work?

1. Contact Angela through her Facebook page, email or text message to choose a date that works for both yourself and Angela (no, you do not need to be home)
2. Select 7 items from the list of menu options (Select 3 to be doubled for a total of 10 family sized meals)
3. 4 days prior to the cook date, Angela will send a detailed grocery list
4. On cook day Angela will arrive at your home around 8:30/9:00 am with most of the equipment needed for the day
5. Angela will prepare a total of 10  family size (4 to 6 adult portions) meals in 6 to 7 hours.
6. When Angela is done your kitchen will be clean, your freezer will be full and your house will smell amazing!!!
7. You will be provided with detailed instruction on how to cook or re-heat meals

What is the Cost?

The cost of service is $250. The estimated cost of groceries is between $200 to $300 depending on the type of ingredients purchased (organic, brand name, generic etc.), the menu items selected (Ground Beef is cheaper than Steak), and how stocked your pantry currently is. 

Can I have smaller portions?

Yes, for the same cost Angela offers 20 half-size portions which serve 2 – 3 adults.

*Fresh meals and chicken pot pie cannot be halved

Can I share my cook day with someone else?

Yes, sharing is caring!

I don’t live in Chilliwack, can I still get your service?

Yes, Angela will travel up to an hour away from Chilliwack for an additional travel fee

I have a special diet, can you accommodate me?

Yes, Angela has low carb, gluten free, soy free, dairy free, vegan, and vegetarian menus available upon request. For all other dietary needs, please contact Angela to discuss further.

Can I purchase your services as a gift?

Yes, gift certificates are available.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel within 7 days of your booked cook date there is no fee, within 4 days, there is a $50 fee and less than 48 hours is $100 fee.

Is there a deposit?

Yes, first-time clients are required to put down a deposit of $100 at the time of booking. This does not apply for future bookings.

Do I have to cook?

No, in fact, Angela has a LOT to accomplish in a 7 hour day so the least amount of distractions the better for her.

What is expected of me on a Fill Your Freezer Day?

Angela will need to arrive to a clean kitchen space; sinks will need to be empty, a mat/towel to dry dishes on and dish soap will need to be provided. A garbage, recycling and compost container will also be needed. You will be expected to have all the groceries from the list that was provided to you. You need to have space to store your 10 family size (9X11) or 20 half size (5X9) meals. A the end of the day Angela will need multi-purpose kitchen cleaner (whatever you usually use), paper towel, a broom, and a dustpan.

What if I have pets?

Not to worry, Angela took a short break from the cooking industry and was a Veterinary Assitant at a local Chilliwack clinic for 5 years. She loves all kinds of pets!

Can I still use my kitchen while Angela is cooking?

Yes! It is best to have had your breakfast and be done for the morning when Angela arrives. Grabbing coffee and snacks is no problem at all. The majority of the cooking on the stove/oven will be done first thing in the morning so feel free to use the stove for lunch if needed. I don’t mind sharing your space.

Do I need to measure the ingredients?

No, It is however very helpful if all the ingredients are pulled out and either placed on a side counter or the table. The fridge items can stay in the fridge.

Will Angela need to use any of my cooking equipment?

Yes, She will likely need to use a large pot, some cooking utensils, spoons for tasting, in some cases a blender and/or a Kitchen Aid mixer could be helpful
